Stress Management for a Modern World
An eight week online course to help you develop your Mindfulness skills and reduce your stress levels.
What is included in the course
The course is an eight week programme (don’t panic, it only requires around half an hour each day!), developed to introduce you to some simple practices that can help you to become more aware of, and reduce, your stress levels and some key practices to help you to induce a relaxed state in your physical body. The course will also include some introductory practices on how to understand, accept and alter learned thought and behaviour patterns, enabling you to create a more positive state of mind.
Each week you will have access to the following course materials:
- a guided audio practice.
- a theme with some guidelines about how to get the most out of the practice during the week, things to be aware of in your everyday life and the effects they have on your mood, emotions or actions. In this section I may suggest additional audio practices to try to fit in alongside the new weekly audio practice.
- a weekly journal and questionnaire to log your progress and send feedback about how you are getting on.
As well as the above course materials, you will have access to the online community to be able to talk with myself and others taking the course for questions, support or sharing your experiences with the practices. As part of the weekly journal you will also be given the opportunity to ask specific questions on a private basis and will receive feedback from me via email.
Additional One to One Sessions not included in the price
At an additional cost of 15 euros per half hour, you can also request a Skype/Google Duo video call consultation where you will be able to talk to me face to face and discuss any issues or questions in relation to the course or your experiences.
No special equipment or abilities are required to complete this course, just a computer or smart device with speakers and access to the internet.

So why choose this course?
Stress is on the rise, more people each year are reporting stress as being a problem in their life: effecting their work, home life and health. After years of depression, stress and barely keeping my head above water with our modern, frantic pace of life, I finally broke down, and after a couple of months off work with stress I finally quit. It was time to get out, heal myself and get some perspective.
So that’s what I did, I checked out of society, and in 2010 I moved to rural Sardinia with my retired partner and took some time to heal. It was pretty drastic and most people can’t or don’t want to go quite that far! So, rather than suggesting you quit your job, abandon society and move to a foreign country, I would instead like to share some of the simple things you can do to manage your own stress, some of the practices that have really helped me to learn how to deal with stress, get a different perspective on life and feel healthier, happier & more positive.
This course was created by someone (me!) who has suffered with stress and depression and found a way through it and who wants to share the techniques I have in my toolbox to help me to continue to be healthy and emotionally stable. I rely on word of mouth and reaching out to people through social media. Emails & feedback are read by me, consultations and mentoring are done by me; you will be dealing with the same person throughout the whole course. I want to share the tools I use every day to feel better. I am not a large company with a huge PR department & slick website designers, I do not have a team of people screening and dealing with clients, not that I think there is anything wrong with that, however if you are looking for a more personal experience, then choose this course.
